Nevaeh was baptized today by her Uncle John Upchurch!
Nevaeh is a gift from Heaven, so her name is Heaven spelled backwards.
Nevaeh was born November 7, 2000. She is a 2nd grader at
Ruth Roach Elementary. She is good at reading and likes
gymnastics. She is very good with babies and younger children.
Nevaehs' favorite color is Blue, and she loves dogs. Her
favorite Primary song is Book Of Mormon Stories. She
likes to play soccer and ride bikes.

Happy Birthday Lavonda! (for Dec.7)

We have all heard the phrase, because I have been given so much, I too must give. This Christmas season, for me has been different, hazzy even... feeling sluggish, strange... just not warm and exciting. Mainly because of all the changes at work and with the country and work is slow which hurts the bank account. I have been waiting, just hoping something would get me into the mood. And then... it began on Sunday, It was my birthday and I was home alone with my children for the most part of the day. Which is different form all my other birthdays where it was all about me and what others have planned for me and done for me and or bought for me. I was there in my home with my two boys, no birthday cards or cake or presents. John was out of town, I remember when I woke up Jacob and Hunter both wanted to hug and kiss me before they jumped out of bed to begin their day of playing. I remember when I heard and saw them giggling and chasing each other on the bed, and smiling at me so big like they had just won the lottery, just because I walked in the room.... it was there - right in that moment that I knew I had everything I ever wanted right in front of me. Their silly warm giggles was the best "birthday card" I had ever recieved. Although my sappiness reminded me I was a year older, I am grateful I was able to recognize the bliss of my boys, and begin to feel the spirit. I have been given so much, a wonderful man for a husband, Nevaeh, Jacob and Hunter and caring friends & a great job. I will be looking for ways I can give back because the feeling I got yesterday left an impression on my heart

Nevaeh Fate

Nevaeh is a special part of our family. She came to live with Mike & Mickey before she was 2 years old. She came before any of the actual grandchildren. We don't consider her a grandchild we consider her a sister and a daughter. She just turned 8 in November and is looking forward to be baptized by John.

By birth she is our cousin Michelle's daughter but we consider her ours since she has been part of our family from the beginning. My mother and father have selflessly raised her and loved her as their very own daughter.

Nevaeh is such a sweet girl. She is always willing to help and she takes care of our dear mom too. She is a good friend to others and is always a good example to the younger grandchildren. Each and every grandchild looks up to Nevaeh and worships her! They love her, just as everyone who meets this sweetheart.

family and friends, and anyone , to make posts to our blog. This will be a big help to spread
family joy and news for all of us, and I am very excited!

I say original because now there are many more members of this family. Friends we have made over the years, family we have adopted as our own, and those that have married into our family have become part of us. We have always had a welcoming home. I loved that when I grew up all the neighbor hood kids would come to our house to play. I am grateful for a mother and father who are so charitable and loving.
